Community Grant Recipient - Travis Lape
The Harrisburg Community Foundation (HCF) has awarded a $1,000.00 grant to Travis Lape, Innovative Programs Director at Harrisburg South Middle School. Travis has been using donations received and his own funds to print personal protection equipment (PPE) for health care workers across the state of South Dakota. Some of the items he has printed includes ear saver clips, face masks and shields.
“We saw the impact that Travis was making in keeping the Heroes of our Local, Area and State Community safe by providing these items and wanted to help him with his mission. We are lucky to have people like him right here in our neighborhood”, stated Josh Sisson, HCF President.
Travis said, “With the funds from this grant, I am going to be able to triple the number of items that I am making. This is going to go a long way to providing additional PPE components for all the front-line workers in the Harrisburg Area as well as across South Dakota.”
Travis continues to work with many individuals across the state to provide for the needs of Healthcare personnel during this time. If you would like to donate to support Travis’ efforts, please contact him via Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/travis.lape.5).
