Community Grant Recipient - Travis Lape

Community Grant Check Presentation Travis Lape

The Harrisburg Community Foundation (HCF) has awarded a $1,000 grant to Travis Lape, Innovative Programs Director at Harrisburg South Middle School. Travis has been using donations received and his own funds to print personal protection equipment (PPE) for health care workers across the state of South Dakota. Some of the items he has printed include ear saver clips, face masks, and shields.

“We saw the impact that Travis was making in keeping the heroes of our local, area, and state community safe by providing these items and wanted to help him with his mission. We are lucky to have people like him right here in our neighborhood,” stated Josh Sisson, HCF president.

Lape said, “With the funds from this grant, I am going to be able to triple the number of items that I am making. This is going to go a long way to providing additional PPE components for all the front-line workers in the Harrisburg area as well as across South Dakota.”

Lape continues to work with many individuals across the state to provide for the needs of healthcare personnel during this time. If you would like to donate to support his efforts, please contact him via Facebook. (https://www.facebook.com/travis.lape.5)
